When Dan Sharp isn’t writing or performing his own songs, he loves to get back in touch with what made him fall in love with music in the first place; really good songs. Dan has been a regular at bars and events in the Bay Of Plenty over the past couple of years (he even performed on the main stage of Rhythm and Vines 2018/19). He always delivers. Come check out his soulful, upbeat covers of songs you know and love.
Saturday 24th & 31st, Sunday 11th, 18th & 25th
Bringing the bright and colourful traditional sounds of the Spanish guitar to New Zealand – Matthew began learning the guitar from the age of fourteen inspired by the flamenco played on the radio in his home town – Cape Town, South Africa. Since graduating from the University of Auckland with a degree in Music and having performed professionally for over ten years, the various repertoire he brings is one that is rarely seen in concert. The music of the great Paco de Lucia, Manolo Sanlucar or contemporary Tommy Emmanuel is illustrious enough to grab the attention of any passer-by.
