Fifth $5,000 Local Legends Grant Winner

We are delighted to announce that Sam’s Skate School is the fifth winner of the $5,000 Local Legends Grant!

Sam, the founder of Sam’s Skate School has a passion for skateboarding and wanted to share his love for the sport with those around him. He decided to set up FREE social enterprise for after school and school-holiday skateboarding lessons for the local tamariki.

Sam is overwhelmed to hear the news of having won the $5,000 Local Legends Grant. He will be putting this grant toward purchasing new skateboards for the children who don’t own one themselves and hiring coaches to help out in the upcoming school holidays!
