Tastefully Tash @ The Mill House

Review: LUNCH WITH MUM AND THE MILL HOUSE

 Written by Tastefully Tash

Cozy, warm, fresh and delicious… The Mill House espresso bar and eatery at Tauranga Crossing is a great spot for catching up with friends and family, or setting up your next business meeting.

First impressions:  An elegant stand-alone building in the town centre area of the Tauranga Crossing.

Upon walking in I was greeted with an open fire, elegantly rustic wooden tables, comfy couches, and a warmly lit bar.

Open for all courses, The Mill House provides breakfast/brunch, lunch and dinner with diverse and fresh gourmet options for all three. The extensive drinks menu also features a range of beverages from coffee to cocktails.

I took my Mum to lunch and ordered the Salmon Fillet with wilted greens, sweet potato croquet, and wasabi hollandaise.

She ordered the Pickled Beetroot and Halloumi Salad with orange, almonds, and balsamic glaze – she added lemon chicken to the salad too.

We ended up sharing both as they were so delicious and filling! The salmon melted in my mouth and the warm sweet potato croquet was packed with flavour and was the perfect pairing to the warm wilted greens and wasabi hollandaise.

Mum was very impressed with her salad and is keen to make The Mill House our regular catch-up spot!

I would highly recommend The Mill House for any time of day or occasion. It’s set up well for intimate or large groups and the food is fresh and full of flavour.

The Mill House is open Monday to Friday 7am to late; Saturday & Sunday 8:30am to late!
